About · Christians Seeking Justice

 Rooted in faith.
Moved to justice.

A national community of Christians who believe following Jesus means fighting for justice. Not someday, but now. Rooted in scripture. Committed to action. Open to everyone.
--     WHO WE ARE

A community for Christians who refuse to separate faith from justice.

Christians Seeking Justice is a national online community for followers of Jesus who take seriously the Bible's call to pursue justice in the world around them.

We're not a denomination, a political organization, or a debate club. We're a gathering of people who believe that doing justice is as essential to Christian life as prayer and worship.

Our community spans backgrounds, faith traditions, and generations. Whether you've been walking this road for decades or you're just beginning to connect your faith to the injustice you see around you — you belong here.

What biblical justice means to us

Justice in the Bible isn't a political buzzword. It's woven into the very character of God.

The Hebrew words mishpat and tsedeqah — justice and righteousness — appear hundreds of times in the Old Testament alone. In the New Testament, the Greek dikaiosune, often rendered "righteousness," is the same word classical writers used for justice in government and society.
God's justice is a saving, healing, restorative justice… designed to bring to glorious completion the creation, teeming with life and possibility, that he made in the first place.
— N.T. Wright, Evil and the Justice of God
Biblical justice isn't about punishment alone. It's about restoration. God's vision is for shalom — a world where every relationship is made right, every person flourishes, and no one is left behind.
--     WHAT WE BELIEVE

Justice isn't optional. It's the call

Christians Seeking Justice exists to elevate the essential call to seek and do justice as Jesus followers.

Justice isn't a specialty track for activists. It's a reflection of God's own heart, embedded in the life of every believer and the witness of the whole church.

One thread, traced from Genesis to the Gospels.

Old Testament
Genesis 1:27Imago Dei

So God created mankind in his own image.

Deuteronomy 16:20Pursue justice

Follow justice, and justice alone.

The Prophets
Isaiah 1:17Learn to do right

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.

Amos 5:24Let justice roll

Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream.

Micah 6:8What the Lord requires

Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.

The Gospels
Matthew 23:23The weightier matters

You have neglected the weightier matters — justice, mercy, and faithfulness.

Luke 4:18Good news to the poor

He has sent me to proclaim good news to the poor, and freedom for the oppressed.

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
— Isaiah 1:17
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
— Micah 6:8
We believe justice flows from the character of God — not from any political party or ideological framework.

We fight against racism, mistreatment, and oppression. We advocate for the poor, the vulnerable, and the marginalized. We see the image of God — Imago Dei — in every human being we encounter.

Christians will not always agree on how to pursue justice. Which policies to support. Where to focus energy. What the church's exact role in public life should be. We recognize these are hard questions with room for honest disagreement. What we ask is that you bring your convictions, your scripture, and your willingness to listen and be changed.

 We are committed to:

01 · Inspire

Inspire

Connect Christians to the biblical depth and urgency of justice work — and to one another, across traditions and generations.
02 · Equip

Equip

Provide teaching, tools, and community so Christians can move from conviction to action in their own contexts.
03 · Connect

Connect

Build relationships across churches, backgrounds, and generations — because the work of justice is too big to do alone.
